0 Parliament has paid glowing tribute to Dr Joseph Epodoi and his team, from Soroti Regional Referral Hospital, for having separated conjoined twins and saved life.
One of the twins had died days earlier.
They are heroes. The 16 names will be forwarded to the National Awards Committee.

It’s been a great pleasure hosting a 16-person delegation from Soroti Regional Referral Hospital.
The entire team of medical scientists, led by Dr Joseph Epodoi, carried out a rare operation, recently.
They separated a set of conjoined twins — who had been referred to but rejected by Mulago National Referral Hospital.
To compound it, one of the twins was already dead.
I’ve been touched by their zeal to save lives. Among these professionals are six female doctors.
Parliament will ensure that Soroti and other referral hospitals are given adequate financial resources — so that patients don’t have to come to Kampala.
