The Kampala Lord Mayor His Worship Erias Lukwago Monday afternoon joined the Catholics at Lubaga Cathedral in the Requiem Mass sending off the Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
The Lord Mayor is still in shock after the loss of an astute cleric, an amiable gentleman, a vanguard of justice and good governance, fervent defender of human dignity, rights and freedoms.
The main celebrant was Bishop Paul Ssemogerere who is the deceased’s predecessor as the Ordinary of Kasana-Luweero Diocese.
In his homily, he commended the works of the late while in Kasana-Luweero Diocese.
Bishop Ssemogerere also decried the stinking levels of corruption in the country.
“May Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga’s soul rest in peace,” Lukwago said.
