0 The Minister of Finance forced to amend the resolution of Parliament on the UGX 292 billion, Supplementary Budget ( Schedule No.4 & Addendum 1 & 2).
The Speaker Rebecca Kadaga says that she will institute a Committee to investigate allegations that there was exaggerations in pricing of items like compensation of land, in the Supplementary Budget (UGX 292 billion) of Schedule No.4 & Addendum 1 & 2).
Matia Kasaija tabled a Motion to amend the resolution of Parliament on the UGX 292 billion, Supplementary Budget ( Schedule No.4 & Addendum 1 & 2).
This follows concerns raised by stakeholders regarding overpricing of some of the items as approved by Parliament.
The Speaker Tuesday said that she will be requesting the Finance ministry to suspend the the UGX 292 billion Supplementary Expenditure approved by Parliament, over allegations that there was inflation of prices of land among other things.
She says that she will institute an adhoc Committee.
