Uganda comfortably beat Tunisia to earn a coveted spot in the final of the ongoing Total AFCON U20 tournament in Mauritania.
The Monday night match was played at Stade de Olympique in Nouakchott at 7:30pm (10:30pm E.A.T).
Richard Basangwa came through for the Uganda U20 Hippos in the fourth minute.
Then Derrick Kakooza followed with the first hattrick in this edition of the competition.
He scored in the 37th, 50th and 73rd minute taking Uganda from debutants to finalists with a 4-1 lead.
The history makers Uganda U20 Team Hippos will now meet Ghana which beat Gambia 1-0 to hit the finals.
Uganda is playing at the tournament for the first time and the Hippos have continued to showcase resilience, strong character and beautiful football for good results.
The Hippos head Coach Morley Byekwaso made it clear that he wants winning to be part of his players’ DNA.
