
A 24-year-old woman has stabbed her lover to death following a misunderstanding on Valentine’s Day in Kiryatete West cell, Hoima town.
Dorcus Mbabazi, a mother of one child reportedly used a knife to stab her fiance one Nicholas Tumusiime, a public transporter operating along the Hoima –Kyangwali road who was pronounced dead a few minutes after being admitted at King’s Medical Centre this morning .
Agaba Chapman, a neighbour and close family friend says the lovebirds who have been living together reportedly developed a misunderstanding after the woman returned home late while drunk from a valentine’s day outing.
Agaba says the husband reportedly locked his wife outside and went for an outing as well and returned at around 5am.
Muchwa Godfrey, the Defense secretary for Kiryatete West cell says that the suspect has confessed for stabbing her lover because misunderstanding caused by their unrevealed neighbor who has been telling him how she sexually engages with other men.
Margaret Tusiime and Ketty Atugonza have condemned the act warning couples against engaging in relationships with lover’s they don’t know their backgrounds and parents.
ASP Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson says the suspect will be charged with murder but cautioned couples against taking laws into their hands.
Usually, lives are claimed during valentine’s celebrations in Hoima.
Last year on Valentine’s Day two men reportedly committed suicide over love gone bad issues.
They are Jackson Kaitwebe who reportedly hanged himself at his in-laws home after his fiance refused to return home and Usher Henry, a former dancer attached to the famous Spice Commandos in Hoima town who committed suicide in Bujwahya, Hoima.
