A photo captured by Daily Monitor on February 1, 2021 shows security operatives manhandling Aaron Ainomugisha, a journalist attached to Mbarara based Crooze FM, during western youth MP elections.
They accused him of flouting Covid-19 SOPs by not washing his hands.
However, Ainomugisha said he was attacked by the security operatives because he had captured some of them on camera trying to bribe voters at the voting venue at Ntare School, Mbarara City.

“I had an encounter with security officers including SFC – claiming that I had flouted SOPs yet I washed hands and had my mask on.”
“They fear exposing them but I/We’ll continue exposing them where ‘necessary’,” he said.
