Ugandan rapper Ivan Wabwire, popularly known as Da Agent, has been recognised by Bossip Africa as the fastest rapper in East Africa following an assessment of his delivery speed.
The recognition was entered on September 19, 2026, under the Bossip Africa Record Registry, based on a passage from Da Agent’s 2024 song Tewepima Nange.
According to the registry, the selected passage contained 33 syllables delivered in 3.75 seconds, equivalent to a rate of 8.5 syllables per second.
Bossip Africa said the assessment was conducted by playing the recording at reduced speed and using a stopwatch to facilitate the counting of syllables. The assessment also took into account the Luganda and English pronunciation used in the passage.
Tewepima Nange was released in October 2024 and is listed on music platforms as a hip-hop/rap release.
Da Agent is known for his fast-paced Lugaflow delivery and has described his style as “Lugaflo Lufula.” He has continued releasing music in 2026, including Daddy Daddy.
The recognition has been registered under reference BA-RR-2026-001, described by Bossip Africa as the first certificate issued under its Record Registry for 2026.
The certificate was signed by Nathan Atiluk, Editor-in-Chief of Bossip Africa.
The registry records the claim specifically on the basis of the measured passage from Tewepima Nange, with the reported rate of 8.5 syllables per second.
