First son Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned that those who attacked Uganda in the recent bomb blasts will pay the price for their actions.
“The cowardly terrorists who attacked us a few days ago should know that they have sown the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind!” said Muhoozi in a tweet.
The Land Forces Commander has been facing backlash from tweets that some consider undeserving of a first son.
He recently engaged in a twitter war with UNAIDS executive director over Tigray war tweets which Winnie Byanyima considered detrimental to the safety of Ugandans living in Ethiopia.
“Just like my hero Fidel Castro, I shall serve my country through thick and thin! As Che used to say ‘Venceremos’! We shall overcome!!!” the first son renewed his pledge to protect the country now facing a wave of terror threats from domestic terrorists linked or inspired by the ADF, a terrorist group based in the Eastern DRC.
Security joint counter-terror teams conducted several raids and operations, aimed at disrupting and dismantling emerging terror cells within the country.
A total of 21 suspects including operatives and coordinators, from the ADF cells that had been established in Mpererwe, Lweza, Luweero, Ntoroko and Bundibugyo were arrested.
Meanwhile, security at various border points across the country has been beefed up following the latest spate of terror attacks in the country.
At the border points, more men in uniform have been deployed to check the travellers coming into and leaving the country as well as their luggage.
The extra security deployment has also been witnessed in several cities and towns, reported Daily Monitor.
