Vice President HE Jessica Alupo has condoled with the family of the late Patrick Bakka Male, Kings College Budo head teacher.
This is her condolence message:
Sorrowfully, I join all Budonians, educationists and the bereaved family; to pay growing tribute to the late Bakka Male, who passed away yesterday 10th November, 2021.
Mr. Bakka Male’s demise marks a sad closure of an important chapter in a fruitful and long journey of an industrious person who has left bold footprints on the education sector of Uganda. All of us who have turned up to bid him farewell today, have therefore congregated to acclaim his good works, dedication to his profession and his love for humanity.
Uganda has indeed lost a father figure and an all-round educationist. His professional calling took him to notable schools which included Mengo SSS, Muntuyera High School and King’s College Buddo.
Many of us are therefore proud to have associated with him because he always delivered. In terms of deliverables, his outstanding performance as Head teacher at King’s College Buddo, will forever define his legacy as an accomplished educationist.
I remember Male being a soft spoken man, but one who never hesitated to instill discipline among his students. This endeared him to his students; and because he was a fatherly headmaster, he managed to uplift the academic performance of his learners. I therefore challenge all teachers, most especially head teachers to emulate the late by being good and caring teachers to your learners. When you create a bond with your students and people around you like the late did, I am sure you can positively influence their lives.
As a Nation, we shall forever celebrate the late Patrick Male Bakka’s contributions to humanity, which shaped destines of many people in Uganda and beyond. As we bid him the last farewell, let us pray to the Almighty God to reward him abundantly.
May the Soul of the late Male Bakka rest in eternal peace.
