To be a Secretary General is one of the hardest roles, Hon Nandala Mafabi has said.

He was speaking at the burial of the burial of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) founder member Aziz Madanda in Mbale district over the weekend.

“I can tell you, just like an auditor, if an auditor is loved/liked by their clients, just know the auditor is a thief, corrupt and unprofessional,” he said.

“Such an auditor will eventually fail your company. That is how the SG work is, if you are like by members; just know it’s a failed party. Such Party leaders never implement their roles.”

Mafabi said he has stood the taste of time and speaks the truth to the eyes of a member.

“The reason many members say I’m bad. People hate truth; I love truth, so this makes us collide every time.”

He said members of FDC should be happy that they have a fearless and brave Secretary General.

The party is traversing the Eastern Uganda with an aim to meet leaders as the election audit process continues. Many National leaders have graced the meeting.

They include, the SG -Hon Nathan Nandala Mafabi, PP- Hon Patrick Oboi Amuriat, E.C – Chairman Hon. Boniface Toterebuka Bamwenda, National Mobilizer- Hon Hassan Kaps Fungaroo, Vice President Salaam Musumba, Sec for Security and Mayor Busia Municipality- Mr Amin Saddik Agele, Women’s League Leader Ms – Faridah Nangonzi, National Youth Chairperson Mr. Wald Lubega Mulindwa, Sec. Environment Ms. Abalinabyo Fatuma.

While speaking to members of the Teso FDC community earlier, Mafabi said  he comes from a background of fighting with factors beyond organisations imagination.

“The people who thought FDC can never be the National political party as it’s been before were surprised to see what we are today.”

He said it was encouraging to be with fellow leaders in the House and with full energy to build more leaders.

The FDC lost its president and Secretary General to a new Political Party of ANT, but many of its proponents in Teso feared even using the colours of their new Party.

“That said, we are happy with Teso, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have some errors. We shall handle case by case, and through our local leadership, the struggle continues.”

“As the Secretary General, I shall always work to promote the roles and objectives of our party. When I leave tomorrow, any one (capable leader) should have positive references to look up to.”

He said when they move around, the people are demanding for change and change is by far the main role in this party activities is to lobby party members to get better organized towards the bigger goal and objective of attaining a free country.

“I officially welcome you for the discussion; feel free to inform us about your discomfort and help the party to grow bigger.”
