He added: “But today I felt out of this world. Epic! Forever grateful for having you in my life, love. Let’s walk this wonderful journey together. To God be the glory.”

The traditional wedding ceremony was held in Cheboron village, Kaptum sub-county which is also Kamari’s ancestral home.

Kamari made the announcement last month at Shining Light of God ministries of Kapchorwa municipality emphasising that they would formalise their marriage.

Pastor Peter Chelangat of Shining Light of God ministries Kapchorwa and Pastor David Otto alongside the Bishop of Sebei Diocese ministered at their ceremony yesterday.

Present at the event were fellow athletes Peruth Chemutai and Stephen Kiprotich who was part of Cheptegei’s entourage.
