President Museveni has praised the opposition for not falling into the temptation of following parasites that are terrorising the country.

The president was Thursday addressing the nation on recent bomb attacks in the country.

“I know what happens in the opposition. I know who says what. I am very happy with actors in the opposition who are rejecting messages of the parasites.”

He said security forces are currently hunting for a one Bin Bukenya who was involved in Gen Katumba Wamala’s attempted murder.

“Imagine Bukenya of the Ngabi clan has now become an Arab! I cannot say that because I am a Christian, I am now a Jew. Yes, we took the wonderful message, but we didn’t change our identity.”

He asked the public to remain vigilant by reporting all suspicious people and items to the police promptly.

“Although we haven’t fully modernized the technology capacity of the police, the little we have done has given us a base to deal with insecurity.”

Museveni said when NRM came onto the political scene, they rejected the ideology of sectarianism and fought for the interests of the wealth creators.

He revealed that parasites like ADF, LRA and UPA resorted to insurgency and rural terrorism.

“All these were defeated. The last to be defeated being ADF in 2007 in Semliki National Park.”

He said for the murders of women in Entebbe, some of these killers were arrested or killed.

According to him, every one who commits a crime leaves clues behind and if the police is serious, it will find these clues.

He assured the public that neither rural-based insurgency nor urban terrorism will defy his capacity.

“The only issue to deal with is bail. We, the freedom fighters, have never supported bail for capital offenders.”
