National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has visited remanded MPs, Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana at Kigo prison.
The two MPs were remanded on several charges including murder, attempted murder and aiding and abetting terrorism in connection to the recent spate of killings in Masaka sub-region where close to 30 people lost their lives.
Bobi Wine was accompanied by the party’s Secretary General Lewis Rubongoya and Spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi.
According to the party, the trio on Monday visited Kigo Prison to check on fellow party members.
MP Muhammad Ssegirinya was last week produced at Buganda Road Court via video conferencing.
Ssegirinya denied the charges of inciting violence and was further been remanded to Kigo Prison until 29th October 2021.
