National Medical Stores employees are required to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination or present a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours before admission into NMS premises.

For visitors, this will be effected starting Monday, 1l8th October 2021.

At the onset of Covid_19 vaccination, NMS vaccinated all her employees, casual labourers, security guards and cleaners who consented to the exercise.

“With Covid-19 vaccines now available in the country, we urge all Ugandans to ensure that they receive their Covid-19 vaccination as soon as possible; this is the quickest way to ensure that the entire economy opens up,” said NMS PPRO Sheilla Nduhukire said.

The move is in line with the government’s directive to ensure vaccination of all eligible Ugandans as a condition for full reopening of the economy.

“As a government agency mandated to buy, store and distribute medicines (including Covid-19 vaccines), we are leading by example and ensuring that all our staff and visitors coming to our premises are fully vaccinated to comply with the President’s directive on full Covid-19 vaccination. We, therefore, expect all our staff and visitors to comply with these new measures to avoid any inconveniences,’’ added Nduhukire.
