Uganda gets 335,000 AstraZeneca doses from Ireland

The Government of Uganda has received the 12th consignment of COVID-19 vaccines of 335,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from the Government of Ireland through bi lateral arrangements.

According to minister Margaret Muhanga, this brings the total number of Covid vaccines received to date to 5,129,763 doses through donations of which 2,152,840 doses have been utilized countrywide

National Medical Stores said all the AstraZeneca doses that were expected to be utilized by 30th September have all been consumed.

“We thank Ugandans and district leaders for ensuring no vaccine goes to waste,” NMS said Thursday.

Results of COVID-19 tests done on 28 September 2021 confirm 127 new cases.

The cumulative confirmed cases are 123,572.
