MPs Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya have been slapped with new charges of murder allegedly committed at Kisekka in Lwengo district.
The lawmakers were Wednesday pictured limping as they arrived at Masaka Court to be formerly charged with fresh offences following their re-arrest at Kigo prison.
The two Honourable Members of Parliament have been remanded to Kigo prison until 13th October 2021.
Earlier, a section of Opposition MPs led by John Baptist Nambeshe said they would boycott plenary today and tomorrow in protest of the continued detention of MPs, Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya.
The legislators wanted their colleagues to be produced in court.
