Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court has summoned Kawempe North MP Muhammad Ssegirinya for alleged incitement to violence.
This is the second time Ssegirinya is being summoned by the same court.
According to magistrate Marion Mangeni, Ssegirinya is expected in Court on October 20 after missing the Tuesday session.
Prosecution claims that Segirinyam a resident of Nsoba Kyebando Parish in Kawempe, a city suburb and others still at large on March 22, at Mini Price in Kampala did an act calculated to incite violence against other persons by holding placards demanding for presidential victory for the former Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
He is also accused of displaying other placards bearing messages demanding for release of incarcerated National Unity Platform (NUP) members.
Kawempe North MP, Muhammad Ssegirinya and his counterpart Allan Ssewanyana are still held at Kigo Government prison despite being granted bail two days ago.
The pair was remanded over charges related to Masaka district murders.
