President Museveni has praised Pallisa-Kamonkoli road (part of the Tirinyi-Pallisa-Kumi and Pallisa-Kamonkoli) as the best road in East Africa.
“Speaking of roads, I cruised on the Pallisa-Kamonkoli road. This must be the best road in East Africa,” he said on Monday.
“You people are cheating me really; you are enjoying these roads.”

He added: “I pray the road is used to better the incomes of the people through trade facilitation.”
In January 2018, this muzukulu, Luther Lex, asked Museveni about the upgrading (tarmacking) of the Tirinyi-Pallisa-Kumi and Pallisa-Kamonkoli roads.
“I assured him works would start soon.”

“I am glad to report to this muzukulu and all others, that as I meet our supporters in Pallisa today, 80% of this road has been upgraded and is on course to be completed soon.”
Residents in these areas should use these roads to transport produce easily to markets and take advantage of other economic opportunities so that they improve their incomes.
