Clouds of teargas were seen billowing out of Mukono town on Monday evening as presidential candidate Bobi Wine tried to address a rally.

“You go to Mukono to hold your presidential campaign meeting as scheduled by the Electoral commission, only to be fed on teargas by the security officers.’
The party said challenging President Museveni in Uganda turns out to be treasonous.
Earlier in the day, Bobi Wine exchanged with security operatives who blocked him at Kawolo along Kampala- Jinja Road on his way to Buikwe District.
Police said Kyagulanyi was not supposed to use the main road as it would paralyse traffic.
Heavy security deployment was also spotted in Lugazi municipality in Buikwe District even before the candidate set off.
On the way a woman carried a kid (young of a goat) which she said was a gift to presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi for “leading the struggle”.
Police further fired teargas and bullets to curtail his Buikwe meeting.
On his way from the first rally in Nakifuma, Bobi Wine’s supporters were crashed by a police truck while waving at him.
