A police patrol car Thursday rammed into the Electoral Commission truck on the way from Masindi to Kiryandongo town.

The truck was carrying bodyguards that EC assigned to National Unity Platform candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

The bodyguards had to leave Kiryandongo in a private vehicle.

“Uganda police should be renamed. It shouldn’t be a force,” Bobi Wine later told a rally.

“In a new Uganda, it will be Uganda Police Service so that it serves the people.”

“You people say that Museveni has already rigged the elections and therefore there is no hope. I want to assure you that Museveni has never met an opponent like me!”

He went on: “Have you ever seen a Presidential candidate arrested on nomination day? This means that the man(Museveni) fears me.”
