Heavily armed military personnel and police officers Wednesday blocked Bobi Wine from addressing the people of Kibaale district as scheduled.
The National Unity Platform President started his campaign in Kagadi, then moved to Kibaale and will conclude the day with a rally in Hoima town.
When he entered Kibaale district, military used teargas and bullets to disperse his supporters who resisted “the bullying of these men!”
Bobi Wine said they are now doing everything to frustrate his planned event in Hoima.
“It is very sad to see that a regime, which came here so glorious and loved is now so scared of the people.”
He said the mistake any leader can make is not to read the signs and the times.
“Someone close to Gen. Museveni, tell him to wake up and realise that Uganda is ready for change.”
He added: “None of what he does will save him from an inevitable, imminent fall.”
