Security arrests Nabilah in night home raid
Security Thursday night raided the home of Hon Nabilah Naggayi and arrested her.
“In the dead of the night, Hon. Nabilah Naggayi Ssempala was violently arrested with several other comrades,” her social media administrator said.
“As we demand for the release of Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, we condemn the targeting of our other leaders and demand that they too get their freedom!”
“I am being hounded out,” Nabilah said as police broke into her home.
“Still in Custody but very Strong, hope you are too!” her social media admin said Friday morning.
Before her arrest, Nabilah earlier visited Nalufenya police station to demand for the release of Bobi Wine.
“With Hon Winnie Kiiza after scampering through teargas at Nalufenya. Moments after the rescue by our ambulance team!” she shared a photo of her and Kiiza.
She also criticised the Electoral Commission, saying it instead made a political statement in favor of the perpetrators.
“It is a complete letdown, a disregard for the constitutional mandate of the EC and also a lack of professionalism bordering on insensitivity.”
“This letter is like a charge sheet detailing reasons as to why Kyagulanyi is under arrest. There’s no mention of Police brutality nor does the letter condemn or decry the loss of lives that has occurred at the hands of armed forces.”
“We should demand an apology from the EC for condoning the human rights violations against the NUP party and its presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi.”
