Bobi to Museveni: coronavirus doesn’t target opposition supporters

National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has accused Gen. Museveni of ‘pathetic hypocrisy’.

Museveni said he would not pull crowds at rallies so as to protect Ugandans from coronavirus.

He castigated his opponents as selfish leaders for exposing voters to the deadly virus in a bid to show that they have support.

Museveni said such leaders are a curse to society.

Bobi Wine, in turn, said in every town, his people are brutalised, teargassed and arrested for gathering to wave at him.

On the other hand, Museveni hires people, dresses them in yellow t-shirts and parades them on streets under police protection to show that he still has support, Bobi Wine claimed.

“They are not harassed at all, and instead are given protection by the police and military.”

While all this is happening, the Electoral Commission is completely silent, he fumed.

“The whole world can see the stinking double standards! While they harass us, they claim it is on account of COVID19, as if the virus only affects opposition supporters.”
