Not even teargas can stop me, says Bobi Wine
National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine Thursday morning entered Oyam town.
Accompanied by a massive procession of supporters, Bobi Wine said the struggle to remove President Museveni from power still continues.
From Oyam, he will head to Apac and then concluded his rallies in Lira city.
Yesterday, he was blocked from accessing Kitgum town but managed to campaign in Pader and Gulu city.
Despite the teargas and harassment on the orders of Gulu DPC, one Mafundo, his supporters weathered it all and stood their ground to receive him in a massive way.
“It is incredibly humbling seeing Ugandans from all walks of life embrace our message in such a phenomenal way,” he said.
“Today was Kitgum, Pader and Gulu. I’m thinking about the people who say NUP is just in Kampala!” said NUP spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi.
“It’s not only Kampala dwellers that want change, the whole of Uganda is ripe for change.”
