The NRM National Treasurer, Hon. Rose Namayanja Nsereko met all the party youth leaders from the 23 parishes that make up Nakawa division in Kampala.
Hon. Namayanja congratulated the youth leaders upon winning the primaries and representing the mighty party in Nakawa division.
“I would like to thank the youths in the 220 villages in Nakawa for their leadership because NRM won massively in the youth elections. Since we won, it shows we have started painting the city yellow,” Hon. Namayanja said.
She urged them to start from the youth committees that she said will enable them aim at bigger positions in serving their country.
“As the secretariat, we assure you that you will be on the forefront in canvassing for votes within Kampala because our mandate is to dominate and take the lead. If you vote President Museveni without giving him the people to work with, you will not have not done enough. In this election, all the NRM flag bearers in Nakawa division should be voted.”
The NRM National Treasurer assured the youths of Nakawa that they will be given a mandate of putting up President Museveni’s posters in the area in order to paint the entire division yellow, noting that this will start with the nomination of the party’s presidential candidate next week.
“Because of Covid-19, we shall not have our first rally in Kololo as we have always done but we will be in different locations to cheer our presidential candidate as he heads to Kyambogo for nomination. We will put on yellow while observing the Ministry of Health guidelines on Coronavirus,” Hon. Namayanja said.
She assured them that they will be utilized during nomination, campaigns voting and safe guarding of votes but urged them to work together for the development of the party.
“NRM is more than ready compared to other political parties. As I talk, we already have unopposed Members of Parliament waiting for swearing-in. This shows that we are already on ground and ready to take up all positions,” she said.
“As NRM our theme is “Securing Your Future” and this starts with the youths because they have a stake in our country. Many government programs have been put in place in order to secure your goals and if you engage in the party activities, you are not doing it for the sake of it but for the good of the entire country,” Namayanja emphasized.
She urged them to utilize all the government programs and remain united to deliver victory for NRM.
