Police receives 17,378 applications for PPC recruits


Police says a total of 17,378 applicants of PPC recruits were received by the September 19, 2020 from 28 regions.

The highest number of applicants came from East Kyoga (Soroti), followed by North Kyoga (Lira), West Nile (Arua) and Bukedi {Tororo}, while the lowest number of applicants Came from Mt Moroto (Moroto), Katonga (Mpigi), Savanna (Luwero) and Wamala (Mityana).

 A competent recruitment team has commenced the selection process and we expect the best eligible candidates with very high standards to be selected.

All successful applicants will be invited for oral and written interviews, where they must clearly demonstrate the wide range of personal qualities and attributes essential to becoming an officer with the UPF.


These include highest levels of personal integrity, effective communication skills, personal effectiveness, proven level of physical fitness, a realistic appreciation of the roles and duties of a police officer, problem solving skills and a strong desire for personal development.

“The date will be communicated accordingly,” said CP Fred Enanga, Uganda Police Force  Spokesperson.

“We expect the successful new police officers at PTS Kabalye during the month of November, 2020, for their initial basic training course.”

He added: “For some of them their journey has already begun and we congratulate them.”
