The Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda at the close of last week flagged off 10 ambulances procured by Uganda Red Cross with funding from government.
He said they will provide emergency services along major roads and highways across the country.
“I urge everyone using them to maintain and keep them well,” Rugunda noted.
They are to be used to respond to accidents and emergencies along major roads in the country.
Diana Atwine said the government works with partners to reach the people of Uganda everywhere they are.
“The Red Cross is one of the partners globally and we’ve seen it in other countries managing emergency health services,” she noted.
She added: “We trust that they will manage these ambulances.”
