Makerere alumni ready to restore Ivory Tower- Byandala

Hon. Chrysostom Muyingo, State Minister Education, Wednesday issued a statement on the Fire that destroyed the Main Administration Building at Makerere University.

He noted that the University is faced with the task of restoring the iconic building in time for the centenary celebrations due in 2022.

Practically, all the documents in the Directorate of Finance, Human Resource including the Central Registry and the Directorate of Internal Audit were destroyed, Muyingo said.

Fortunately, all the Financial documents for the previous financial years had been moved to the archives.

Hon. Muyingo has assured the country that the academic programmes at Makerere will resume on time as directed by Governmenf and all arrangements to receive the students have been finalized.
