Bobi Wine, Whitaker lead UNESCO anti-racism drive


Forest Whitaker, UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation, is leading a campaign against racism across the world.

The world famous actor shares the same enthusiasm with Ugandan presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

Leading personalities from all over the world have joined UNESCO in denouncing mounting racial discrimination in an advocacy video.

The video features Bobi Wine, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Freida Pinto, Naomi Campbell, Jean-Michel Jarre, Marcus Miller, Jorge Ramos, Yalitza Aparicio, Rossy de Palma, Forest Whitaker, among others.

“To hate, to racism, to discrimination, we say NO MORE!” the icons said.


“Stop watching from the sidelines. It’s time to speak up and take action. Together, let’s #FightRacism.”

On his part, Whitaker said: “If we choose to make it a priority in our own lives, we can all #FightRacism.”

“I’ve joined a @unesco global campaign with voices from all around the world, unified with one message: speak up and take action against racism.”
