A Uganda People’s Defence Force airforce [UPDAF] Jet Ranger on a training mission has crashed in Bulo Butambala district.

The UPDF Spokesperson Brigadier Richard Karemire has confirmed the jet killed two crew members.

“We regret to inform that a UPDAF Jet Ranger AF 302 on a training mission has crashed,” Karemire noted.

“It had two crew members. Sadly, no one has survived.”

He said investigation into the cause has started.

“Condolences to their families and the entire UPDF fraternity.”

In 2014, a UPDF jet ranger crash- landed at Abulukodi village, Atika Sub County, Amuru District, injuring one person two others in board escaped unhurt.

The jet was on the way from Juba, South Sudan to Gulu, lost control due to the too much wind in the air, knocked the electric pole and crash- landed.
