President Museveni who is also the National Chairman of the ruling NRM party, presided over the 2nd meeting of the 3rd National Executive Council of the NRM at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Museveni arrived in the company of his wife Honourable First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni.
They were escorted by the party Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba.
At the conference, Museveni told the Delegates that the Party had secured USD 1.9m and paid off the premises along Plot 10, Kyadondo Road where the Party has been renting for years.
The Chairman said more resources will be mobilised to further develop it.
The conference started with drama as delegates accused Lumumba of pocketing their facilitation and stopped her from speaking with boos.
It was attended by former Vice President Prof Gilbert Baalibaseka Bukenya and his predecessor Dr Specioza Wandera Kazibwe.
The two were invited alongside former Prime Ministers; Kintu Musoke and John Patrick Amama Mbabazi as well as ex- Kampala Central Member of Parliament, Capt Francis Babu.
But Mbabazi who was the Secretary General of the NRM from November 2005 to January 2015 did not show up.

Bukhari Gganim Mohamed Afadi (Republic of Sudan) and H.E Amb. Ri Hung Guk representing the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
