Don Innocent Wanyama, the Senior Press Secretary to H.E. President Museveni, has also graduated from Makerere University.
Don who is passionate on matters politics, journalism, literature and humour, graduated Friday with a Masters Degree in Journalism & Communication.
“To God be the glory. Finally got my gown, thanks,” he said.
Who is Don?
Don formerly worked as a Managing Editor at Monitor Publications before joining State House.
In a 2016 interview with The Observer, said he used to be a fitness freak and used to play volleyball.
By then, he had two kids aged five and one-year respectively.
Their mother Ritah Kidasa is a lawyer whom Don later married in 2018.
Don was born in 1980 and raised by his mother in Mbale eastern Uganda.
His father was Dr Silver Wanyama Kalyebbi, a retired doctor and mother Felicistas Munoko Wamasebu, a retired teacher.
They later moved Tororo because his mother was the deputy headmistress of Tororo Girls’ School.
They also moved to Kenya [his mum is partly Kenyan] before relocating back to Uganda.
He went to Rock View primary school in Tororo, Milimani primary school and Ndalu primary school in Kenya.
He sat PLE at Fairway primary school in Mbale. For secondary, he went to Nabumali High School, Jinja College and Mbale College.
He did a degree in Education (English and Literature) in Makerere University, graduating at the top of the class.
He then embarked on a master’s degree in Journalism and Communication for which he now wears a graduation gown.
