4 remanded to Kigo for criminal trespass

The suspects

Kajjansi Chief Magistrate’s Court has Friday remanded four people to Kigo prison on charges of criminal trespass.

The four suspects are; Lubowa Ivan, Mwasa Daniel, Sirage Mubiru and Bbuwoya Thomas.

They will return to court on 27th January 2020.

This follows a joint operation by State House anti-corruption unit with police in Kagulu Sissa, Wakiso district on threats of illegal eviction and torture by Walugembe Lawrence and Sematimba Kyobe who are still at large.

Criminal summons have been issued for the duo.

Separately, Police officers IP Nsagaki Reuben and DC Mbwira Amos of Mulago Station Wednesday appeared before the Anti-Corruption Court.

They were charged with soliciting a bribe of Shs1million contrary to Sections 2(a) & 26(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2009.

The duo was remanded until 22nd January 2020. They were also arrested by State House anti-corruption unit.
