Former Eagles Production singer Ronald Mayinja has Thursday launched a “Peace for all, All for Peace” movement to encourage unity among Ugandans.
While launching the movement at Calendar Hotel Gardens in Makindye, Mayinja said the move will restore peaceful co-existence of the different tribes, religions and political parties.
He cited music drama series and creative endeavours as some of the ways to end the differences that exist between Ugandans.
“We will promote mutual respect regardless of political affiliations, religion, tribe, because we are all one as Ugandans,” he noted.
He condemned police actions in blocking Kyadondo East Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s consultations, saying every Ugandan must have a right to participate in civil and political activities.
In September last year, Mayinja sparked a social media storm when he sung “Bizeemu” at presidential advisor Catherine Kusasira’s concert, attacking President Museveni who was the chief guest.
