Next Media Services has dismissed as untrue reports claiming it sacked sexy presenter Anita Fabiola.
The Award winning Media Personality and Philanthropist unceremoniously resigned from the Serena based NTV where she hosted “Be My Date” show.
This followed the leaking of her nude pictures on social media.
She then landed a job at the Kamwokya based NBS TV as co-host of “Katch-Up”, which features entertainment news, music, lifestyle and artists every Friday at 10pm.
This week, rumours spread across blogs claiming she had been fired for alleged absenteeism.
In a statement, Desire Derekford Muggumisa, the PR & Communications Officer, said the allegations were false and deserved contempt.
“To set the record straight, Fabiola is a valuable staff member of Next Media Services, who has been with us for close to two (2) years and counting.”
He added: “Her stock has grown over this period of time, attracting global opportunities such as hosting the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Ghana, the AEAUSA-Africa Entertainment Awards, USA in New York, working with BBC Africa’s “The SheWord”, among others.”
On her busy schedule, Mugumisa noted: “We have been happy to adjust her schedule with us to accommodate everything else we have supported her to achieve.”
Mugumisa said Fabiola will continue to co-host “Katch Up” while something tailored to her new realities is in the works.
