South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka says she will soon return to Uganda and perform because it is her motherland.
The princess of Africa’s music was deported from Uganda on December 31, 2019 ahead of “Enkuuka” celebrations held at Lubiri in Mengo.
Chaka Chaka was picked from Pearl of Africa hotel by security and immigration officials on account that she had a wrong visa.
According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, Chaka Chaka came to Uganda with an ordinary visa instead of a working visa and couldn’t be allowed to perform.
But the princess insists she was granted a visa at the airport and isnt in the wrong.
The singer later recorded a video of herself assuring everyone that she was fine.
“I can assure u. I will come back to Uganda and perform. This is my motherland,” she tweeted.
She added: “If I was deported would they buy me a business class ticket. Nooooo they just put u on the http://plane.so now you know.”
