Singer Big Eye asks security for protest march to Bobi Wine Magere home

Musician Mayanja Ibrahim also known as Starboss alias Big Eye is seeking security clearance to serve Kyadondo East singing MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine with a protest letter.

Big Eye aka StarBoss could not keep his mouth shut anymore after revellers stoned and threw bottles at Presidential Advisers Catherine Kusasira and Full Figure during a Boxing Day Concert at Nabugabo beach in Masaka district.

The revellers who were labelled “People Power supporters” accused the duo of selling out to the ruling NRM government when many people are seeking for change.

Big Eye says he is concerned about the mistreatment of NRM musicians on account of supporting a different political side.

“Good morning Uganda, I 100% condemn the bad acts and violence exercised by the people power movement,” Big Eye posted on social media Friday December 17, 2019.

He added: “And that gives me more a thousand reasons why Ugandans must keep supporting HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to stay in power. #StopDisturbingOurPeace. #Museveni2021NoChange.”

Big Eye then said he was “take my letter to Magere now.”

Magere is where the home of Bobi Wine is situated. It is located in Kasangati town council, Wakiso district.

Big Eye said as NRM-leaning musicians, he is tired of seeing violence orchestrated by People Power supporters against them.

He asked the musician turned politician to come out and practice what he preaches by defending the freedoms of all Ugandans.

“Mr Bobi Wine if you are not part of these acts and negative situations put on NRM musicians, as a fellow musician come out and condemn them publically,” he noted.

He added: “We have lived on music before you entered politics. These shows are not for only people power fans. Also our fans have equal rights in these shows.”

On Saturday, Big Eye said he has already started delivering his protest letter to the concerned parties.

“I am now waiting for permission and security to proceed to Magere,” he notified police which he expects to give him a clearance.

According to his December 28, 2019 letter, Big Eye will deliver his protestation to Bobi Wine on January 2, 2020.

He will be setting off from Calendar Hotel in Makindye at 11:00am and finish his schedule at 4pm on the same day.
