The oldest person in Kitagwenda district western Uganda has died at the respectable age of 110 years.
The late Nyensi Tibifumurwa was announced by her grandson John Mwambusya on Christmas Day Wednesday December 25, 2019.
Nyensi succumbed to old age at Kagongo hospital in Ibanda district.
Born in 1909, she always celebrated her birthday every 1st January.
She was raised in Kyeishwarra village, Kagazi ward, Kabujogera town council (formerly Kicheche sub county).
According to Mwambusya, a proprietor of crypto currency in Uganda, his grandmother always emphasised family togetherness.
“In every time I interacted with you…the question is have you seen so and so?? A sign of togetherness that you wanted for our family Grandma I promise to always love everyone around me even my enemies because you told me that,” Mwambusya noted.
He added: “We meet in heaven. Prepare for me a good place as you used to do…R.I.P Grandma.”
Grandma Nyensi will be laid to rest tomorrow, Friday in Kicheche [former sub county].
Kitagwenda is a new district that was curved out of Kamwenge district.
