Singer Rema Namakula is not broke as has been reported on social media, according to her manager.
On November 14, Rema introduced her new husband, Dr Hamza Sebunya, in Nabbingo along Masaka Road.
After the lavish ceremony, the singer who left fellow musician Eddy Kenzo, put her car, a Prado TX model registration number UAZ 603Q, in a city bond reportedly for sale.
Her manager Godfrey Kayemba told Kampala Sun Rema isn’t running bankrupt and doesn’t have debts as claimed.
“If Rema owes anyone money, they should come out and tell us how much we owe them and when we borrowed the money from them,” Kayemba told Sun.
He said the vehicle was sold off way before her introduction ceremony.
“It takes a while before the names of the previous owner of the car are taken off,” he explained.
“No one is demanding Rema. If there is anyone that is demanding her, let them bring the evidence. That car was up for sale even before the introduction. Go and ask that car bond who gave them the car and when,” he added.
