A Ugandan national has died in Rwanda under unclear circumstances.
Tumusiime Gilvazio, a mechanic, was found dead on his bed.
He was working in garages in Magerwa Gikondo, a neighbourhood in the capital city Kigali.
Gilvazio was announced Wednesday by his niece Hellen Kihembo, a student of accounting at Mbarara University of Science and Technology [MUST].
“So sad to inform you of the untimely death of my beloved uncle who was found dead in his house in Rwanda today,” Kihembo wrote.
The family doesn’t know what caused their member’s death.
“He didn’t go for work and his work mates tried reaching him on phone. He could not pick and they went to his home only to find him in bed dead.”
Rwanda National Police Spokesperson CP John Bosco Kabera confirmed the development.
Kabera said police was aware of Gilvazio’s death and that the case is being handled by Rwanda Investigation Bureau [RIB].
Gilvazio hails from Rukokoma, Kagongo in Ibanda district.
He has been working as a mechanic for the last 20 years.
