Rwanda President Paul Kagame’s daughter, Ange I Kagame, on Saturday June 8 quietly entered a civil wedding with her lover, Bertrand Ndengeyingoma.
The 26-year-old first daughter and her architect were conducted their civil wedding at Kigali City Council offices in the capital.
A civil marriage is simply one where the marriage ceremony has a government or civil official performing the ceremony.
It takes place without any religious affiliation and meets the legal requirements of the state or location of the wedding.
According to a wedding invitation seen by edge.ug, Ange and Bertrand will hold their church wedding on July 6, 2019.
