President Museveni has regretted committing the sin of paying Jennifer Musisi loads of money to clean up Kampala city and repented.
Museveni has said he paid the former Kampala Capital City Authority [KCCA] executive director a lot of money but she did nothing.
“I paid Musisi too much money thinking that she will clean Kampala but she didn’t even do it,” he said on Sunday while meeting striking teachers.
He added: “But this is a simple sin, I can repent it and withdraw all those salaries of KCCA so that they go back to their old scales.”
Musisi abruptly resigned from her post yet she was taking a huge budget at the expense of other public sectors.
Museveni even threatened to withdraw all salaries of the City Council and fix teachers’ salaries.
Jennifer Musisi earned Shs36m as KCCA executive director with allowances of over Shs7m.
She resigned from her office in December 2018 and got a new job as a consultant at the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership initiative in the USA.
