Patrick Ssenyonjo aka Fresh Kid is the newest youngest rapper on the Ugandan music scene.
The toddler/baby rapper says he was named Fresh Kid Uganda by his manager Francis who runs Da Texas Entertainment music label.
The 7 year-old tot became a sensation after a video of him rapping went viral on Internet.
The exceptionally talented boy has since released his first song “Banteeka” [they hate me] and even announced its video release.
TV stations like NBS TV, Record TV and others have already hosted him for interviews.
Speaking to Douglas Lwanga, the host of “NBS After 5” show, the kid said he doesn’t admire any of Ugandan rappers.
He even claimed big musicians have contacted him for collaborations “but I turn them down because I am doing things in a different way”.
The kid says he was only inspired by singer Fik Fameika and got his stage name “Fresh Kid” from Fameika’s catch phrase, Freshbwouy.
Following his first gig where the chief of traditional healers Maama Fiina supported him with Shs4m.
On Tuesday, comedian Alex Muhangi featured him on Comedy Store Uganda, where he dropped free-style lines driving the audience into a frenzy.
He lashed out at haters who criticise him saying he won’t finish school.
The kid who is now in Primary Two [P.2] says he will finish his studies because he loves both music and books equally.
Fresh Kid who hails from Kawanda in Kawempe Division, Wakiso district.
His mother Namatta Madrine and father Paul Mutabazi, are simple peasants.
