A sugarcane truck has killed ten people at Wakisi Village, Wakisi Sub County in Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.
The Tata truck registration number UAK 227N loaded with sugarcanes lost control and rammed into a group of people on Tuesday night.
Four people died on the spot while six others died on arrival to Jinja Referral Hospital.
The deceased were part of a group that was dancing to Kadodi, a cultural ritual song for the Bagisu circumcision ceremony.
They were travelling from Wakisi to Kikubamutwe.
Over 20 others who survived with serious injuries are admitted to Jinja Referral Hospital.

The deceased included a bodaboda rider Isaac Ssekirime of Seeta-Namilyango stage and his passenger Nice Kalimwine.
It is alleged that the driver of a vehicle registration number UG 0130L knocked the cyclist as he left Seeta to Namiryango at a terrific speed.
The accident happened on Seeta-Namiryango road. The residents set ablaze the vehicle and by the time the fire fighting Police from Mukono arrived, the vehicle had already been reduced to ashes.
