She Cranes captain Peace Proscovia has graduated with a Master of Science in Marketing at Loughborough Lightning University.
“Finally graduated with a masters of science in marketing. Thanks @lborouniversity, @LboroSBE @LboroLightning and everyone that stood by my side for your support am forever grateful,” she tweeted.
Ranked among world best shooters, Peace joined the Loughborough Lightning University four years ago.
She played professional netball for the university before joining the Australian side Sunshine Coast Lightning.
While leaving Uganda, Peace already had a Diploma in Development Studies from Nkumba University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Uganda Christian University (UCU).
Loughborough Lightning says as a fresh, talented athlete, they watched Peace grow into an inspiring, individual becoming a crowd favourite and a fantastic role model for young women and aspiring athletes.
“Today she became a Master of Science in Marketing. We would like to wish her all the luck in the world as she begins her new adventure and can’t wait to see her back in England next summer, leading Uganda in the Netball World Cup,” the university said in a social media statement.
Peace is expected to pursue her PhD at the University of Sunshine Coast in Australia.
She helped Loughborough Lightning win two Super league trophies and a memorable Fast5 triumph.
She was also named Player’s Player of the Season in 2017 and Golden Shooter at last season’s VNSL awards.
