Bobi Wine and his wife on arrival in US

Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine says he has safely arrived in United States of America where he will be treated.

“Dear friends from all corners of the world, after so many days of tribulations, I have safely arrived in the US where I’ll be receiving specialised treatment following the brutal torture I endured at the hands of some SFC soldiers,” he wrote on his social media Saturday night.

Bobi Wine left the country on Friday night after being cleared by police following a medical examination made on him at Mulago [Kiruddu] hospital.

“We thank the world for standing with us in these difficult days. We thank God for His enduring goodness,” he said on arrival in US.

“I will soon tell you what exactly happened to me since 13th August,” added Bobi who is accompanied by his wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi.

He said the torture had not broken his spirit and will soon lay down a master plan for the freedom struggle.

“I will also tell you what I think we must do together to continue the struggle for freedom and liberty.”

His American-Canadian lawyer, Robert Amsterdam earlier tweeted: “It is essential to emphasize that Bobi Wine was fully within his rights to travel for medical treatment. Again, he has done nothing wrong.”

He added: “Again, he has broken no law. And again, the police beat him and detained him and will later make up some sort of false excuse.”
