Barbie Kyagulanyi, the wife to Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, is already in Gulu town for the trial of her husband.
Bobi Wine who was allegedly found with two SMG guns will appear at the General Court Martial for trial today.
Bugiri Municipality MP Asuman Basalirwa escorted Barbie to Gulu Army Barracks where Bobi Wine will be charged.
Earlier reports had claimed that Basalirwa and a team of lawyers; Medard Ssegona, Mpanga, Kabega and Katende, had been told Bobi was transferred to Makindye Military Barracks.
There was confusion as relatives and friends who had gone to the General Court Martial in Makindye were told court officials have instead gone to Gulu.
Lawyers say they are waiting for Bobi to be officially charged having been in prison past the mandatory 48 hours.
The Observer reporter Sadab Kitatta reports: “after a meeting with Army commanders at Gulu Army Barracks, the lawyers have been told that they can’t access Bobi Wine and Zaake Francis who are confirmed to be admitted at Gulu Military Hospital. Court Martial may not sit as promised by government.”
