Dr Omona

The NRM Secretariat has warned the general public of an unscrupulous person impersonating Dr. Kenneth Omona (Deputy National Treasurer) and soliciting money from members the public.

Rogers Mulindwa, the NRM Communications Officer, says the suspect has on several occasions used text and WhatsApp messages or called Honourable Ministers, Members of Parliament, the clergy, relatives, friends and security personnel among other categories of the public.

He has been using a telephone number 0716711541 among others, to borrow money or ask for financial support on allegations of being sick, stranded within or abroad or being in an emergency situation requiring urgent attention.

“This act has been ongoing for over six months and we perceive it as an attempt to tarnish the personal image of Dr Kenneth Omona and/or the institution of the NRM secretariat,” Mulindwa said.
