Police has opened a hunt for unidentified people who broke into the home of Mukono Municipality legislator, Betty Nambooze, on Wednesday morning.
Nambooze said the thugs invaded her home at around 3:00am while it was raining and drugged her guard with chloroform (naturally the man had taken shelter in the guard house).
They cut off security lights and cameras and tried to access her house, thanks to the car alarms that went off when the thugs touched the garage.
“They were so bold and had parked just a few metres from my home… But they found God in control.”
The legislator said police came an hour later because she had to define the attackers properly.
“Well in whispers I told and retold the story as how I see two men in my compound in heavy jackets and a car parked outside my fence.”
She added: “As police approached the two men in the compound vanished and the car took off.”
Police then surrounded her home to ensure security.
