President Museveni has released an animation dancing to a song by South African star Master KG.
“In several meetings with our youthful supporters, they have been asking me to do the #Jerusalemachallenge,” Museveni said on Monday.
“When I consulted, I was told its a popular song by South African stars,” he noted.
Master KG was recently in Uganda to shoot a film for “The Road to MAMA” with MTV Base Africa.
He was taken on a tour of Jinja city by songstress Sheebah Karungi where he met Triplets Ghetto Kids.
Museveni says he would have preferred to dance to his own songs but had to bow to public demand.
“Of course I would have loved to dance to my own “Another Rap” but due to popular demand of the bazukulu, here is my animated version of the challenge. NB: I do not own the rights to the music,” he said.
Kgaogelo Moagi, known professionally as Master KG is a South African musician and record producer.
His album Skeleton Move achieved acclaim including an AFRIMMA Award for Best Artist/Group in the African Electro category.
He is also known as the pioneer of “Bolobedu” dance.
